In Progress Upstairs Photos

It’s still a work in progress. People have been asking for updated photos of the upstairs. We are still unpacking and taking our time arranging everything, so we have not posted that many new photos. We will post complete photos once everything is unpacked, paintings hung, and everything is organized.

Until then, here are a few photos. We installed new light bulbs above the kitchen island. The original Edison Bulbs were not bright enough. We love the stainless steel countertop!!!!!

Dry Wall Continues

The last two weeks have been about the same. Dry wall continues, electrical continues, and we continue to seal the brick.

Here is the second floor, as soon as you come up the stairs. We are planning on using this as a sitting area for right now. They have started hanging the chandeliers. Once they are completed with the construction, we will add the crystals and lower them to the proper height..

We also started to gather the plumbing fixtures.

Upstairs will have our Master Bath with a half bath for guests. Downstairs will consist of 2 ADA Compliant bathrooms in the retail area. We are converting an Antique Vanity with 2 vessel sinks for the Master Bath and then the rest will be simple pedestal sinks.

The next couple of weeks will consist of framing out the walls for the bathrooms and closets, plumbing, and the start of the electrical.

Continue to keep an eye out for weekly updates.

2nd Floor Demo

They started this past week removing the original floor boards upstairs. The original boards were too damaged and it was not economical to save them. They are going to brace the existing floor joists and then install a new sub-floor making everything level before install new Engineered Hardware Flooring.

There was a lot of dirt and trash under the floor and above the 1st floor ceiling. They had to shovel and vacuum everything up so it’s all clean before starting new.

Finally there are  a lot of holes that will need to be patched above and below.
